Dal 2013 l’Istituto Italiano di Scienze Umane, attraverso un processo di fusione, è entrato a far parte della Scuola Normale Superiore. Il 24 ottobre 2014, con l'entrata in vigore del nuovo statuto della Scuola, è nato ufficialmente l'Istituto di Scienze Umane e Sociali, struttura accademica della Scuola Normale Superiore.

Since 2013 the Italian Institute of Human Sciences has been part of the Scuola Normale Superiore. On the 24th of October 2014, when the new statute of the Scuola came into force, the Institute of Human and Social Sciences, an academic structure of the SNS, was officially created.
